A PAUA shell’s brilliant colours are layers formed through the process of environment and time. PAUA Poppetts seeks, through a holistic approach, to enhance the environment which affect the ‘colour’ of each individual linked with our service.
You won’t find a more experienced person to run a childcare agency. With a background in early childhood, along with stints in admin, there is not much that Raewyn hasn’t seen in her thirty year career. Not only is Raewyn an active member of the Home Early Learning Organisation (HELO) and CECEAA (Christian Early Childhood Education Association of Aotearoa), she is also a board member of the Whanganui City Mission and the President of the Whanganui Chamber of Commerce.
Raewyn soundly believes in the importance of building relationships, and has built PAUA with this premise as its foundation. As this was also the foundation of Poppetts (many clients and nannies have been with Poppetts for over a decade), it meant a synergy when PAUA purchased Poppetts in 2012.
Raewyn is an industry expert, part of the reference group (set up by the Ministry of Education) that developed the current Licensing Criteria. She started PAUA Early Childhood Homebased Care Service with her husband Tony in 2003. This service has now grown from Whanganui, throughout the North Island and also to Christchurch. She is also actively involved in aspects of the community on behalf of PAUA Poppetts, and totally enjoys her hobby – being a marriage celebrant.
